Sweet Phoenix Creations Pty Ltd is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa and international data protection best practices.

Data We Collect

• Account Information: Email address for authentication and account management
• Vehicle Information: Make, model, year, license plate, odometer readings
• Trip Data: Start/end odometer, dates, business/private classification, GPS coordinates (when using Live Tracker only)
• Financial Data: Fuel costs, service costs (stored for your records only)
• Camera Access: Used exclusively for scanning and capturing fuel receipts for your records
• Device Information: Device type, operating system (for app compatibility)
• Receipt Images: Uploaded to secure cloud storage for your record-keeping

How We Protect Your Data

• All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
• Database access is protected by Row-Level Security (RLS) — you can only access your own records
• On-Device Processing: AI receipt scanning is processed entirely on your device using local ML. No receipt data is sent to external AI servers.
• Camera Privacy: The camera is only accessed when you initiate a receipt scan. No photos or videos are captured in the background.
• Foreground Location: Live GPS tracking only records location data while the app is actively tracking in the foreground. Background location is not monitored.
• We use Supabase as our secure database provider, hosted on enterprise-grade infrastructure
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete a trip or expense record, it is permanently hard-deleted from our cloud servers to protect your privacy. You may request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data from the settings menu or by contacting us.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase: Secure database and authentication
• Meta Audience Network / Adsterra: Advertisement delivery (free tier only)
• Google Play Billing / Apple In-App Purchase: Secure payment processing for Pro subscriptions
• Google ML Kit: On-device text recognition (no cloud processing)
• Vercel Analytics: Anonymous, privacy-focused web analytics
