Terms of Service

Welcome to LogLane ("the App"), developed and operated by Sweet Phoenix Creations Pty Ltd ("the Company", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in the Republic of South Africa. By downloading, installing, or using LogLane, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Description of Service

LogLane is a professional vehicle trip logbook and maintenance management application designed to help users:

• Record and manage business and private vehicle trips
• Track fuel expenses and maintenance costs
• Generate audit-ready logbook reports for tax authorities and HR
• Scan fuel receipts using on-device AI (ML Kit text recognition)
• Calculate vehicle running costs and tax deductions
• Set service and mileage reminders

2. Accuracy of Data

You are solely responsible for ensuring all odometer readings, fuel logs, trip purposes, and vehicle information entered into the App are accurate and truthful. LogLane provides tools to assist with record-keeping but does not guarantee the accuracy of calculations for tax, legal, or HR purposes.

LogLane is not an accountant, tax advisor, or financial-services provider. Any mileage, deduction, claimable, or tax figures shown in the App — including the tax-year summary, reimbursement calculations, and accountant exports — are automated estimates provided for your convenience only. They are not tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice, are not guaranteed to be accurate, and may not be accepted by any tax authority. You must verify all figures yourself and consult a qualified tax practitioner or accountant before relying on them or submitting them to any authority. LogLane accepts no liability for decisions made based on these estimates.

3. AI Receipt Scanner

LogLane uses on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit Text Recognition) to scan and extract data from fuel receipts. This processing happens entirely on your phone — no receipt images or extracted text are sent to external AI services or cloud servers. The accuracy of scanned data depends on receipt quality, lighting, and formatting.

5. Advertisements

The free version of LogLane displays advertisements served by Meta Audience Network on mobile (and, on the web, by Adsterra). By using the free version, you acknowledge and consent to the collection of non-sensitive, anonymized data by these advertising partners for the purpose of ad delivery and personalization, in accordance with their respective advertising policies. You may remove all advertisements by subscribing to LogLane Pro.

Rewarded video ads may be offered to temporarily unlock specific features. Watching a rewarded ad is entirely voluntary.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, design, source code, and features within LogLane are the exclusive property of Sweet Phoenix Creations Pty Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works based on the App without prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

LogLane is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Sweet Phoenix Creations Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App. This includes, but is not limited to, losses resulting from inaccurate data entry, missed tax deadlines, or incorrect calculations.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
